I’ve worked in the healthcare and wellbeing sector since 1979, when I started my training, qualifying and specialising in General and Sick Children’s nursing. I subsequently worked in the hectic arenas of A & E and cardiothoracics.
I left nursing for a while, to meet the demands of a young family, and then took a Management course. I subsequently worked my way up through the Care Sector industry from Trainee Manager to Operations Director, with responsibility for a large chain of countrywide Care Homes. After a number of years, during which the kids obligingly grew up, I found myself missing the day-to-day, one-to-one contact I’d loved in nursing, so I took the decision to train as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist with The Quest Institute in 2007, and consider it one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I opened The Changing Room because, being a woman of firm views, I knew exactly what sort of consulting rooms I wanted to work out of, but couldn’t find anything that fitted the bill. Now, I provide space not only for myself but for other, like-minded therapists in a welcoming setting that suits us and our clients perfectly.
“I have to confess, when I first took myself along to see Christine, I did have some concerns that she might be, what I call a bit of a ‘tree hugger’. In fact she’s one of the most down to earth, feet on the ground people I’ve ever come across and I simply can’t thank her enough for what she’s done for me.” Mr J.D. Harrow.
